This page covers three things: this website and its signup form, members and their accounts, and the sponsored card that member sites show to their visitors. It describes what the code does, and it is kept in step with the code.

Who is responsible

easyadshare.com is the data controller. You can reach us at hello@easyadshare.com.

This website and the signup form

There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no cookie on this website. When you apply to join, we collect:

• Your email address
• The URL of your website
• The referral code you entered, if a member invited you
• The date and time you submitted the form

We use it to confirm your address, to review your site before inviting you, and, if you entered a referral code, to credit the member who invited you. The lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. If we decline your site, everything you submitted is deleted when we decline it.

Members and their accounts

Once your site is approved you have an account. We hold:

• Your email address and the URL of your site
• The card you write: a name, a line of text and a link on your own domain
• Your referral code, and which members you invited or were invited by
• Your credits: every credit earned, committed and returned, and which weeks you committed to
• Messages you send us from your dashboard
• A session cookie while you are signed in. It is the sign-in itself, lasts 21 days, and is used for nothing else. There is no other cookie.
• A keyed hash of the internet addresses you sign in from, kept for 60 days after you last used each one. It is used for one thing: to recognise your own visits to your own site, so they show you the card but do not count as views. It cannot be turned back into the address. This is account data, like your email address, and it is never used for anything else.

Once a night, our automated browser visits your site to confirm the card still shows. We store whether that check passed and, if it did not, why. Your site's visitors are not involved in that check.

Your data is stored in our own database on Cloudflare's infrastructure, and email is delivered through Resend. Both act as our processors. Nothing is sold, rented, shared with advertisers or passed to any other third party.

You can delete your account yourself from the settings page. Deletion is confirmed by email and removes everything above.

The sponsored card on member sites

If you visit a site in our network, a small sponsored card may appear in the corner. Here is everything it does with your data:

• No cookies, and nothing stored on your device. No localStorage, no fingerprinting, no identifiers of any kind. The script reads nothing from the page it is on.
• To count that the card was shown, and to show each visitor one card per site per day, your internet address and browser type are combined with the date and a secret we hold, and hashed. The result is a pseudonym that is only valid for that day: tomorrow the same visitor produces an unrelated value, and we cannot link the two.
• Your raw internet address is used in the moment, for that hash, for a check against known datacenter ranges, and for the member's own-visit check described above, and is not stored.
• What we keep about a view: which site it was on, which card was shown, the day, that day's pseudonym, whether you closed the card, and how long it was on screen. Nothing about which page of the site you were on.
• We build no profiles and we cannot track you across sites or across days. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing follows you.

Emails we send

To members: sign-in links when you ask for them, one email when your site is approved, replies to messages you send us, a notice when our nightly check cannot see your card, a weekly note with your numbers, and a note when a settled week returns credits to you. The weekly note and the credits note each have their own switch on your settings page. The others are how the service works and have no switch; they stop when your account does.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@easyadshare.com and we will do it. No forms, no conditions. Members can delete their own account from the settings page without asking.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the weekly note and on your dashboard before it takes effect.
